Wedding serviette decoration

List of materials

Drawing board, white or natural, pencil, graphite transfer paper, eraser, ruler (metal if possible), craft knife or scalpel, scissors, adhesive tape, ribbon or cord, Pitt Artist Pen Brush 170, Pitt Artist Pen "S" black, Pitt Artist Calligraphy Pen "C" black

Step 1

Print out template full size, lay template on drawing board and secure along one edge with adhesive tape.
Lay graphite paper, dark side down, underneath the template sheet. Trace the lines on the template sheet. After the first few lines, lift graphite paper to check that the lines have been transferred. The lines should only be faint, so that they do not show through when they are subsequently coloured. Use the eraser or kneadable rubber to lighten the lines where necessary after tracing.

Step 2

Carefully remove template sheet. Colour the sheet using Pitt Artist Pen Brush 170. Then paint the flowers using Pitt Artist Pen "S" black.

Step 3

Cut out leaf and flower, leaving the stem slightly longer. The stem is trimmed to the correct length after inserting into the gift-wrap ribbon.

Step 4

Cut out oval sheet from grey board (colour should match the grey board of the menu) and, using Pitt Artist Pen Calligraphy black, write the name of the guest on it (if necessary, write name lightly in pencil first).

Step 5

Trim gift ribbon to length and tie around the rolled serviette. Then tuck flower and leaf into the ribbon. Trim stem to appropriate length if necessary.
